Pinetreejamboree, “the 1/2 fast, hot rod races,” is a period-correct, moving history exhibition celebrating flathead engines and the early days of drag racing, tracing its roots from the early teens to the early 50s! It is also a camping event where racing happens! It is as much about the people as about the cars and racing! Spectators are invited and encouraged to set up and camp alongside the racers to enjoy a family campfire and great company among like-minded people.

Rules and Regulations

This is open to any two- or four-wheeled flathead-powered vehicle from 1953 and earlier, including hot rods, trucks, dragsters, customs, race cars, stock vehicles, and Motor Cycles.

All vehicles must be period correct, traditional 1953 and earlier build style.

Original style steel or wire wheels only.

(wheel exceptions made for dragsters and comp cars)

Bias ply or bias ply look tires only.

No visible coil-over shocks.

No visible independent front ends.

No rat rods or art cars, please.

Must have a seatbelt.

DOT helmets required

Coolant overflow can required.

All vehicles must be submitted to get pre-registered and accepted.

Racer weekend package is $160, which includes a car, driver, pit area, and camping. CASH ONLY EVENT

Thursday Evening: Cruise-In at Dysart’s

Thursday, 5:00–8:00 PM
Dysart’s Restaurant – 1110 Broadway, Bangor, ME

If you’re in town early, we’d love for you to join us for a casual Cruise-In event. Dysart’s has invited Pinetreejamboree racers for a front-row reserved parking experience in celebration of our race weekend. Enjoy a fun, family-friendly atmosphere and great food as we kick off the weekend together. Please meet us there if you're attending.

Friday

Gates open at 7:00 AM for weekend camping entrance and set up
Registration fees are due at the gate
Tech inspections will take place in the race lineup (Eli will collect racer cards)
Test & Tune begins around 12:00 p.m. and typically runs until 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Saturday

Drivers’ Meeting at 8:00 AM
Racing from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
The Owls Head Transportation Museum will be set up under the big tent and offering spectator rides.
Enjoy food all weekend with four food trucks on-site

Sunday

Racing from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Awards Ceremony immediately following the final race

Entry Fees: PAY AT THE GATE

Racers Package $160 includes car, driver, camping, paved pit area, and unlimited racing. Fees are paid at the gate upon arrival. You must pre-register to race.

Spectators' Weekend Entry Pass: $40

Spectators' Daily Entry Pass: $15

CAMPING FRIDAY & SATURDAY NIGHT ONLY

Spectators' RV Camping Weekend Pass is $20 per camping unit or setup. No reservations necessary

Additional Information

Swap Meet Vendor spots are complimentary with any entry pass.

The Maineiac Snack Shack, Papas Smoke House, R&D Dept, and Alice's Fresh Squeezed and Wonderland Tea Co. food trucks will be joining us this year.
